GreenGuard Certified Ottoman
I am failing to find a greenguard certified ottoman coffee table, or at least a "nontoxic" one. The only one I have found was through pottery barn. Any other suggestions? Also, is there a difference between nontoxic and greenguard certified?
Is There Safe Wallpaper?
I am thinking of having wallpaper in my dining room. The selection of non-vinyl wallpaper is very slim. I am very green and keep indoor air as clean as I can. The question is, does vinyl off gas forever? The other question is, what about the glue they use to put it up. Is it sealed once the wallpaper is on and if not does it off gas forever?

This is an area in need of change!! We have been staying hampton Inns for many years and have always called before to ask them not to use fabrezee and any fragrance in the rooms. For a couple of years we found most of the rooms to be at least ‘liveable"
Non-Toxic Pad for Dining Room Table
I hate vinyl, but need a thin pad to go under my dining room tablecloth. I have searched the Internet thinking I could find latex or rubber padding but was not successful. Thoughts? There has got to be something less toxic than vinyl...
Affordable Sofas
My first nontoxic sofa was a sectional sofa where the pieces were made with cotton canvas over metal frames, with toxic pillows on top. I just replaced the toxic pillows with 100% cotton pillows stuffed with some of the first organic cotton batting that was available. It was a great sofa and I wish someone would make this type of frame now.
Bitumen in Dishwasher
Have there been any safer dishwashers on the market? We've gone w/out one for over 2 years now, but really miss it. Also, if the choice comes down to PVC (Part of interior not the whole thing) or the newer bitumen ones which is safer?

Luggage
I have been all over the internet and dug through archives, but am having little results looking for luggage. It seems that even those touting ʻeco friendlyʻ are really a typical derailment of fact. If it is made of recycled materials, I question what was in the previous encarnation. Nylon has been treated with chemicals. Handles made of ʻtprʻ? Some claim ʻecoʻ and yet state pvc dividers.
Are There Any Nontoxic Wedge Pillows?
There are natural latex and organic cotton wedge pillows that are safer than regular foam.

I have been in my current home for 12 years with the same refrigerator that was here when we moved in… I'm considering a new refrigerator, yet am stalling, due to the off gassing of new units. (I've been "considering" a purchase for 6 years!). I have searched the web and found very little discourse and no refrigerators that are manufactured with materials that do not off gas.

I'm researching Iwako Japanese erasers and they claim they are lead, phthalate free and made with recyclable non-pvc materials. They say their erasers are made from four materials: base, softener, filler, and stabilizer. They don't mention what is in these materials. What is your opinion on their toxicity.
Non-Toxic Lining for Dresser Drawers
I have a new dresser, and I'd like to put some kind of liner in the drawers, to protect the wood from the clothes, and the clothes from the wood. Contact paper, fabric, wrapping paper with wallpaper paste (Mod Podge), cork, acid-free paper, parchment paper — I've looked into all of these and I'm not feeling good about any of them.

Cleaning Biofilm from Jetted Hot Tub
I was looking for something to clean our jetted bathtub. I am concerned about using the tub, because when we bought the house, it was unoccupied for a while before we got here, and I have no idea how (or if) the inner parts had been cleaned prior to that. So meanwhile I’m not using the tub while I try to find a suitable way to clean it. I’ve seen many recommendations online for using Cascade dishwasher detergent and bleach, and I’d prefer not to use those.
